Graduate Centre for International Agriculture Networking Day

Graduate Centre for International Agriculture Networking Day

Posted on behalf of Lexi Earl

The Graduate Centre for International Agriculture is a collaboration between the Future Food Beacon at the University of Nottingham, and Rothamsted Research.

This event is an opportunity for colleagues from Rothamsted Research and the University of Nottingham to meet and discuss their research. The aim of the event is to create connections that will generate PhD studentship opportunities as part of the UoN-RRes 3rd intake of PhDs.

In previous intake years projects have included: exploring diversity in the grain structure, composition and functionality of pearl millet; Tempr: developing reproductive resilience to heat stress in rice; high zinc wheat for sub-Saharan Africa; geospatial modelling of soil geochemistry at national scale for improved human nutrition; and risk assessment of sub-lethal insecticide exposure: new biomarkers and metrics in bees.

We particularly encourage input from Arts, Humanities and Social Science colleagues for the third round and would welcome their attendance at this event.

Lunch will be provided. Schedule to be confirmed.
